To all Seabees who served in NMCB 3 and Guests:
This year will be our second attempt at our 21st Annual Reunion at Branson, Missouri. We will also welcome any Vietnam era Seabee that you may know as your guest.
Reunion Dates and location: The reunion dates and location are October 17 – 20, 2021 at the Radisson Hotel Branson. Our hotel discounted rate is $102.95 during our reunion dates and they have also extended this favorable rate through the 25th for anyone who wishes to stay longer. If you wish to arrive earlier, let me know.
Activities:
- Sunday (check-in day), October 17th: We will be having our traditional welcome and pizza night. In addition, Mike Mizell will present and comment on the many slides and videos of our time in Vietnam. These are images taken by Mike and/or accumulated from others over the years. If anyone has photos of our time in Vietnam and would like to share, send them to Mike via email to mmizell0380@gmail.com. The best photos to share are of our Seabee brothers and MCB 3 projects.
- Monday, October 18th: In the morning we will hold our annual Business meeting, followed by our traditional Memorial Service honoring members of NMCB 3 who are on the wall, and for those who have passed since our last service in Tucson, AZ. Please advise us of anyone that we should recognize. After lunch we will travel to the Veterans Memorial Branson. It is only a short distance from the hotel, but only walking distance for serious walkers. The museum has a room dedicated to the Vietnam War with a listing of those names that are on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in DC. There we shall have a second memorial for MCB 3 Seabees on the “Wall”. The rest of the day is on your own. See below for “Things to do” and websites with activities to do on your own.
- Tuesday, October 19th: The morning is on your own. For those who have chosen the Showboat Branson Belle, a shuttle departs from the Hotel no later than 11:15 AM. The cruise is about two (2) hours and includes lunch and a variety show. This evening will be our cash bar and Banquet Dinner. During the time of the cash bar, we will hold a silent auction for many items in order to reduce the time to hold the action after dinner. Our traditional auction will follow dinner. Menu choices for dinner include:
- Champagne Chicken
- Tortilla Crusted Tilapia
- Beef Tenderloin Medallions with Demi Glaze
- Wednesday (October 20th): Today is a day of goodbyes as most of us will be leaving. However, this is a beautiful area so I would encourage you to stay a while longer to enjoy all that Branson has to offer.
Hotel Reservations must be made by August 31, 2021.
